Webhooks paused: plan allowance used up
Your plan's webhook allowance for this billing period is used up, so Routy has stopped sending webhooks for new conversions until there is room again.
What it means
Each plan includes a number of webhook sends per billing period. You have gone past it, so conversions that would normally be sent to your webhooks are being held instead. On Events → Webhooks they show the status Out of Quota. See Webhooks event log.
Held webhooks are not thrown away. We try them again about every 2 hours, for up to 10 days after the conversion. Anything still held after 10 days is not sent.
This issue is about your plan as a whole, not one webhook.
Why it happens
- More conversions than usual this period, so more webhook sends.
- Several webhooks firing on the same conversions, for example one webhook on All conversion types plus others on specific types, or webhooks set up both on a traffic source and for your whole account.
- A plan with a lower webhook allowance than your volume needs.
What you can do
- Open Plans & Billing → Resource Usage to see your webhook usage against your plan. See Plans & Billing.
- If you need more, move to a plan with a higher allowance. Held webhooks are then sent on the next retry, as long as they are less than 10 days old.
- To use less, review your webhooks under Tracking → Webhooks and on each traffic source's Webhooks tab. Disable ones you no longer need, and limit Conversion Events to the types the receiving tool actually uses.
If you do nothing, sending resumes when your allowance resets at the start of the next billing period. Held webhooks older than 10 days by then are not sent.
When it clears
It closes by itself 6 hours after the last webhook that was held for quota. It opens again if the allowance is exceeded again.
