Routy

Clicks from another of your accounts

While collecting this account's stats, we matched some of its conversions to clicks that came through tracking links belonging to a different one of your accounts.

What it means

Every tracking link in Routy belongs to one of your accounts. When a program reports a conversion, we find the click that led to it. Here, the click came through a link that belongs to another account, not the one the program reported the conversion under.

The conversions are still credited to those clicks. Nothing is lost. But your per-account numbers are split: one account shows the click, the other shows the conversion with no click.

The message lists the other accounts by their account numbers.

Why it happens

  • One login reaches several accounts. For example, one network login gives access to many brands, and you added each brand as its own account in Routy.
  • A link created under one account is used to send traffic to a brand you report under another. This often happens when a link is copied into a new campaign.

What you can do

  1. Open Events → Conversions and turn on the Link Owner Account column. Conversions affected show a yellow Link from … marker naming the other account.
  2. For the brand this account reports, send traffic through a link that belongs to this account. Create one if you need to.
  3. Replace the other account's link wherever it is used for this brand.

New clicks then keep the click and the conversion on the same account. Conversions that already happened stay where they are. See Conversions.

When it clears

It closes by itself on the next run that matches clicks for this account and finds none from your other accounts. If it is not seen again for 3 days, it also closes on its own. You can press Resolve yourself. It opens again if the next run finds the same thing.
