Connecting an Affise account
Affise programs authenticate with a single API key, which you generate yourself in the affiliate panel of the network you're promoting. You don't need anything else from your affiliate manager unless the key doesn't work.
Finding your credentials
Your Affise API key lives in the affiliate panel you already log in to β not in Routy, and not in a shared network-wide dashboard.
- Log in to the network's Affise affiliate panel.
- Open the drop-down menu in the top-right header.
- Go to Settings β Security.
- Copy the API key shown there. If there isn't one yet, generate it on the same screen.
The Security tab is also where you regenerate the key if it's ever been exposed. Regenerating invalidates the old one immediately, so if you've already connected this account in Routy you'll need to paste the new key here as well.
One key per network. If you promote offers through three different Affise networks, that's three affiliate panels, three keys, and three accounts in Routy β an Affise key from one network will never authenticate against another.
Username
Your login username for that Affise affiliate panel. Routy needs it to identify which affiliate the reporting belongs to, even though the API key is what authenticates the connection.
API Key
The key from Settings β Security above.
Copy it straight from the panel rather than retyping it. Affise keys are long and unpunctuated, so a truncated paste looks plausible and still fails.
Test connection failed
Affise reports credential problems clearly, so the error usually points straight at the cause:
- Unauthorized / invalid key. The most common cause is a stale key β regenerating in Settings β Security replaces the old one silently. Re-copy the current value.
- You copied the key from the wrong network. Check that the panel you took it from is the same network as the program you're adding here.
- API access is restricted for your account. Some networks limit affiliate API access. Your affiliate manager can confirm and enable it β it's read-only reporting access, and this is a routine request.
What Routy pulls
Once connected, Routy reads your offers and your conversion and statistics reports on a continuous schedule. It uses the affiliate API only β it can't change offers, payouts, or anything else in your Affise account.
Getting help
If the key is current and the connection still fails, contact support with the network's name and the exact error from Test connection. Don't send the key itself.
