Link Management Guide
Routy Links are smart affiliate tracking URLs with built-in analytics, rotation, and optimization features.
Creating Links
Basic Link
- Navigate to Link Management
- Click Add Routy Link
- Fill in the required fields:
Link URL Structure
Your generated link will look like:
https://track.routy.app/click/abc123?sub1=facebook&sub2=campaign1
Breakdown:
track.routy.appβ Your tracking domain/click/abc123β Unique link identifier?sub1=...β Custom tracking parameters
Sub ID Parameters
Sub IDs let you segment your traffic for reporting. You have 5 sub parameters available:
Best practice: Define a consistent naming convention for sub IDs across all your campaigns. This makes reporting much easier.
Link Features
Deep Linking
Send users to specific pages on the merchant site instead of the homepage:
Destination: https://merchant.com/products/widget-pro
Routy preserves the full path and query parameters through the redirect.
Link Rotation
Distribute traffic across multiple destinations:
- Create a link with multiple destinations
- Set the weight for each destination (e.g., 50/50, 70/30)
- Routy automatically rotates traffic based on weights
Geo-Targeting
Redirect users to different destinations based on their location:
Bulk Operations
Exporting Links
- Select links using checkboxes
- Click Export in the toolbar
- Choose format: CSV or JSON
Exported fields include:
- Link ID and name
- Destination URL
- Click count and conversion rate
- Creation date
Bulk Editing
Select multiple links and use the bulk edit menu to:
- Update traffic source across all selected links
- Change sub IDs in bulk
- Activate/deactivate links
- Delete unused links
Analytics
Each link shows real-time performance data:
- Clicks β Total and unique clicks
- Conversions β Number of successful conversions
- CTR β Click-through rate (if impressions tracked)
- EPC β Earnings per click
- Revenue β Total commission earned
Performance Charts
Click on any link to see detailed charts:
- Daily click and conversion trends
- Geographic distribution
- Device and browser breakdown
- Sub ID performance comparison
Troubleshooting
Link not redirecting:
- Check that the link status is Active
- Verify the destination URL is accessible
- Test the raw URL in an incognito browser
Clicks not counting:
- Ensure your tracking profile is configured
- Check for ad blockers that may strip tracking parameters
- Review the Click Events log for errors
Low conversion rate:
- Verify postback URLs are correctly configured
- Check for duplicate click filtering
- Review the conversion window (default: 30 days)
