Routy

Deleting your data

You can ask Routy to delete the data we hold for your account. This page explains how to ask, what we delete, what we keep and why, and what you receive from us along the way.

If you are covered by a data-protection law such as the GDPR, this is also how you exercise your right to have your data erased.

How to ask

Open a support ticket from Routy (Submit a Ticket) or reply to your account manager, and tell us:

  • which Routy account the request is for (the account's login email is enough);
  • that you want its data deleted.

The request must come from the account's Owner, or be confirmed by them. If your company has more than one Routy account, we'll list the ones we find and ask which of them the request covers. We only delete the accounts you name.

Deletion is permanent. Once it's done, we can't restore the account, its reports or its history.

What happens next

  1. We confirm the request on your ticket, with the account(s) it covers.
  2. You get a statement of what we hold: a document listing, by category, the data we have for your account and what will happen to each. Nothing is deleted at this point.
  3. We stop collecting data: partner account connections and tracking stop for the account.
  4. We delete the data from every place we hold it, including our internal test environment.
  5. You get a signed confirmation that the deletion is complete.

What we delete

  • Credentials and access: your partner account logins and API keys, your Routy API keys and tokens, and your users' passwords and passkeys.
  • Partner account reports: everything we retrieved from your connected affiliate programs, including stored report files.
  • Tracking events: clicks, conversions, postbacks and page views.
  • Performance metrics: the statistics derived from your traffic and reports.
  • Exports and downloads: files you exported and report downloads.

What we keep, anonymised

A small set of records about your account's structure (accounts, links, users and settings) is kept so our financial and audit history stays consistent. Every name, email address and other identifying detail in them is removed, and they can no longer be linked to you.

If you work with another Routy customer, for example as a partner in their sub-affiliate network, their copy of the shared records belongs to them. We remove your identifying details from it rather than delete it.

What we can't delete

  • Data already sent elsewhere, for example through webhooks you set up, conversions pushed to ad platforms, or exports you downloaded. We stop sending anything new; copies already delivered are held by those services or by you.
  • Backups. Our database backups are kept for disaster recovery only. They are not used in normal operation and expire on our standard retention cycle.

Questions

Ask on your ticket. Your account manager can explain what the statement shows and where your request is.
