Automatic cleanup

This screen lets you automatically archive stale items so your working lists stay tidy. Over time, accounts accumulate traffic sources and brand links that are no longer used β€” automatic cleanup moves them out of your main lists for you.

Archiving is not a block. An archived item keeps serving traffic exactly as it did before; it just stops cluttering your list. Nothing is deleted, and you can unarchive an item at any time.

How to turn it on

  1. Open Settings β†’ Automatic cleanup.
  2. Find the card for the kind of item you want cleaned up β€” Traffic sources or Brand links.
  3. Switch on Enable automatic archiving.
  4. Optionally adjust the two thresholds (see below).
  5. Click Save changes.

From then on, a background job periodically archives that kind's stale items and notifies you when it does. You can switch it off again at any time β€” items that were already archived stay archived (and stay fully functional) until you unarchive them.

Traffic sources

Controls automatic archiving for your traffic sources. Uses the same two thresholds described below.

Controls automatic archiving for your brand links. Uses the same two thresholds described below.

What counts as "stale"

Each card has two settings that together decide which items are candidates:

Setting Meaning Default
No-activity window (days) An item with zero clicks, conversions, and revenue for this many days becomes a candidate. 90
Minimum age (days) Only items created at least this many days ago are eligible β€” brand-new items are never touched. 60

Both must be true for an item to be archived: it must be old enough and have had no activity for the whole window.

The no-activity window can be 1–3650 days; the minimum age can be 0–3650 days.

Common questions

Will archiving break my links or stop my traffic? No. Archived items keep working exactly as before. Archiving only hides them from your main list.

Can I save thresholds without enabling the toggle? Yes. Your thresholds are kept even while the toggle is off, so they're ready when you decide to enable automatic archiving.

I changed the settings but nothing was archived yet. The cleanup runs as a periodic background job, not instantly. Items are archived on the next run after they meet both thresholds.

Can I undo an archive? Yes β€” archiving is fully reversible. Unarchive the item and it returns to your main list.

When to contact support

  • You enabled automatic archiving but items that clearly meet both thresholds are never archived.
  • Items are being archived that recently had clicks, conversions, or revenue.
  • You get an error when saving and your values are within the allowed ranges.
