Archiving traffic sources, links and tracking profiles
Over time your lists fill up with items you no longer use. Archiving moves an item out of your main list so the list stays focused on what's active. It works the same way on Traffic sources, Routy links and Tracking profiles.
Archiving is not a block. An archived item keeps serving traffic exactly as before β it just stops cluttering your list. Nothing is deleted, and you can restore anything at any time.
Tracking profiles fill up fastest, because you don't create them: Routy discovers one for every tracker it finds in your affiliate program, so retired campaigns and one-off tests accumulate on their own. Archiving a profile hides it from the list β it keeps collecting clicks and conversions, its links keep redirecting, and its status (New / Enabled / Disabled / Closed) is untouched. An archived profile can still be Enabled, and that's normal.
Archiving items (manual)
On the Traffic sources, Routy links or Tracking profiles list:
- One item β use the Archive action on its row (the archive icon on desktop, or the Archive button on the mobile card).
- Several at once β tick the checkboxes next to the rows you want, then click Archive in the bar that appears at the top of the list.
Archived items immediately drop out of the default view. Just after archiving, the confirmation offers Undo, which puts that batch straight back.
Viewing and restoring archived items
Use the Archive filter on the list to switch the view:
- Active (default) β your normal working list; archived items are hidden.
- Archived β only archived items.
- All β both together.
In the Archived (or All) view, Restore an item from its row, or select several and click Restore in the top bar. Restoring returns the items to your main list right away.
In the Archived (or All) view each row also shows when it was archived and who archived it.
Automatic cleanup (optional)
Automatic cleanup covers traffic sources and brand links only β tracking profiles are always archived by hand, from the list.
If you'd rather not clean those up by hand, open Settings β Automatic cleanup. There you can:
- Turn on automatic archiving per kind (traffic sources, brand links) and set
what counts as "stale":
- No-activity window β an item with zero clicks, conversions, and revenue for this many days becomes a candidate.
- Minimum age β only items created at least this many days ago are eligible, so new items are never touched.
- Clean up now β run a one-time pass using those thresholds. You'll see a preview of exactly what would be archived (with each item's created date and last activity), uncheck anything you want to keep, then archive the rest.
Common questions
Will archiving break my links or stop traffic? No. Archived items keep working exactly as before β archiving only hides them from the main list.
Does archiving a tracking profile disable it or stop its stats? No. Archiving is separate from a profile's status. It keeps its status, keeps collecting clicks and conversions, and its links keep redirecting β it's only hidden from the list.
What's the difference between archiving on the list and "Clean up now" in Settings? On the list you pick exactly which items to archive. "Clean up now" (and the automatic job) work from staleness thresholds β they find inactive items for you. Both end in the same place: the items are archived and fully restorable.
When to contact support
- Items are archived that recently had clicks, conversions, or revenue.
- The Archived view is empty after you archived items.
- Restore doesn't return an item to your main list.
