Link Not Found
One of your monitored links loaded a page that answered "404 Not Found". Visitors who click that link are landing on a page that does not exist.
What it means
A link monitor watches one of your links on a schedule. On its latest check, the page the link leads to came back as "not found". The link itself still redirects, but the page at the end of it is gone.
The issue is filed against the link, not the monitor. If you watch the same link from several countries, you get one issue, not one per country.
Why it happens
- The partner removed or moved the landing page. Campaign pages and promo pages are often taken down when an offer ends.
- The offer was pulled in that country. A page can be live in one market and return "not found" in another. Check which country the failing monitor runs from.
- The destination URL on the link has a typo or an old path the partner no longer serves.
What you can do
- Open Link monitors and click the history button on the failing monitor. Note the final URL and the country the check ran from.
- Open the link yourself from that country to confirm the page is really gone.
- Get the current landing page from the partner (their affiliate dashboard or your account manager there).
- Update the link in Routy Links, or replace it with a link to the current page and update the places you published it.
- Use Check now on the monitor after fixing it, so you do not have to wait for the next scheduled check.
When it clears
Automatically, once any monitor on that link has a healthy check. Routy picks that up within about 15 minutes. If nothing reports the problem again for 6 hours (for example, you deleted or paused the monitor), it closes on its own. You can also press Resolve, but if the page is still missing the next check opens it again.
