Tracking profiles filled in automatically
One of your mapping rules that is set to apply automatically has just filled in details on new tracking profiles. This is a receipt, so you can check the result and undo it if needed.
What it means
Your integrations discovered new tracking profiles on an account, and a rule with Apply to new profiles automatically switched on filled in some of their details: brand, traffic source, commission plan, country or region. The message names the account, how many profiles changed, which details were written, and the run number.
Automatic rules only fill details that were empty. They never replace a value a person set.
Why it happens
You, or someone on your team, switched on Apply to new profiles automatically on a mapping rule, and new profiles arrived on an account that rule covers. New profiles are handled in batches, so you get one of these per account per batch that filled something in. A batch that filled in nothing does not raise one.
What you can do
Nothing is required. To review or undo it:
- Go to Settings β Mapping rules and open History.
- Open the run with the number from the message. It is marked Automatic and shows every detail it wrote.
- If something is wrong, press Undo on the run, then fix the rule.
If you would rather not have rules apply on their own, switch off Apply to new profiles automatically on the rule. See Mapping rules.
When it clears
This is an Info notice. It closes by itself 24 hours after it was raised. You can also press Resolve on it straight away. Each automatic run raises its own notice.
