Clicks Blocked: Program Account Disabled
Real visitors are clicking links that belong to one of your program accounts, but that account is not active, so the clicks are being turned away.
What it means
Links only redirect while the account they belong to is Active. When you set an account to Inactive or Closed, its links stop redirecting on purpose. This issue tells you that some of those links are still being clicked. Visitors get an error page instead of the offer, and the clicks are not recorded.
You get one issue per account, not per link. The message names the first link we saw.
Why it happens
- You set the account to Inactive or Closed, but its links are still published on your sites, ads or emails.
- Routy closed the account because you went over your plan's account limit, for example after a downgrade. Routy closes Inactive accounts first, then the Active ones that have gone longest without an update. You were notified when that happened.
What you can do
- Open the account from the issue and check its status at the top of its page. See Account status.
- Choose one:
- If you still work with this partner, set the account back to Active. Its links redirect again shortly after. Reopening a Closed account needs a free account slot in your plan.
- If you are done with it, use the issue's details (the blocked URL, the page the click came from, the referrer, and your
pa/pbvalues) to find where its links are published, and take them down or replace them with links from an active account.
When it clears
On its own, 3 days after the last blocked click. Reactivating the account does not close the issue at that moment, so you can press Resolve once you have fixed it. If clicks are still being blocked, it opens again with the next one. A burst of blocked clicks is reported at most once an hour, and search engine crawlers never trigger it.
