Link Changed
The page behind one of your monitored links has changed in a way worth a look: the offer or its terms, the destination, or whether the page is available.
What it means
A link monitor compares each check of the page with the previous one. Small changes, like a rotating banner or a countdown, are recorded in the history without telling you. This issue is raised when the change looks significant: the content of the offer changed, the final URL changed, the status the page returned changed, or the page stopped being available.
This is information, not a failure. The link may still work perfectly. You get it as an in-app alert only, unless you turned on other channels for it in your notification settings.
Why it happens
- The partner changed the offer. A new welcome bonus, new terms, a different headline.
- The link now ends on a different page. The partner changed their redirect, or sends that country somewhere else.
- The page started failing. A check that errors is also counted as a change. In that case you will usually see a Link Error or Link Not Found issue on the same link as well; deal with that one first.
What you can do
- Open Link monitors and click the history button on the monitor named in the issue.
- Read the one-line summary on the check that changed. Open its screenshot or View DOM to see the page as we saw it.
- Decide whether the change matters to you:
- If the offer changed, update your own pages or creatives that describe it.
- If the destination changed to something you did not expect, check with the partner and update the link in Routy Links if needed.
- If the change is fine, press Resolve on the issue.
When it clears
Routy does not close this one when the page settles. It closes on its own 24 hours after the last time the change was reported, or earlier if you press Resolve. The same kind of change is not reported twice in a row, so one change gives you one alert.
