In this video, we'll connect a Google Ads account to Routy. Once it's connected, Routy pulls what your campaigns cost, and how many people they reached, every day. Everything starts in Channels, which lists the vendor accounts you've already connected.
Click Add, and you'll see every vendor you can connect. Tiles marked Coming soon aren't available yet.
Pick Google Ads. There's no form to fill in. Google Ads doesn't hand out keys to paste. Instead, you sign in with Google and approve the access Routy needs. Click Continue to Google Ads. Google asks you to sign in, and to give Routy access to your Google Ads data. Approve everything it asks for. If you approve only part of it, the connection can't be finished, and you'll be asked to start again.
Google sends you straight back, and Routy stores the access you approved. Now choose which ad account to connect. Your sign-in can reach several, including the accounts under a manager account. Each one shows its currency and its timezone. The timezone matters: every date on this connection is counted in it, and Routy never converts it. An account that's already connected is greyed out.
Click Connect.
Your new connection opens straight away. It reads Waiting for first sync. That's normal: the first sync runs on the connection's schedule. If you'd rather not wait, click Sync now.
Once the first sync has run, Sync history shows which dates it covered, and how many campaigns it found.
Campaigns lists every campaign Routy found in the account.
And Metrics shows the daily numbers, per campaign. Routy's standard columns come first. For Google Ads, exposures are impressions, engagements are clicks, and outcomes are conversions. Google's own metrics follow, under Google's own names. That's it. Your Google Ads account now syncs on its own. For more on reading these numbers, open the help panel on any Channels screen.
